Embraer validated the Robomule as a Phenom 300 alternative ground power source. The Robomule is used as a power source for performing several hydraulic checks, such as landing gear cycle check. the Robomule is connected to the Engine Drive Hydraulic Pump (EDP) for the Phenom 300 without requiring an adapter or spline change and is designed to work well in all aspects of the maintenance event.
The Robomule utilizes the aircraft’s original equipment aircraft engine driven hydraulic pump, filters pressure regulator, and fluid installed on the aircraft by providing a motorized accessory drive to the aircraft hydraulic pump (EDP), rather than the aircraft’s turbine engine, as shown below.
The Robomule’s adaptation substitutes an external hydraulic power cart, does not induce hydraulic system contamination, eliminates the risk of air entering the hydraulic system, and cannot over-pressurize the aircraft’s hydraulic system. Also, the Robomule use does not allow or provide a method for fluid loss or leaks, and is quick and easy to install and utilize.
The Robomule requires aviation experience and aviation technical skill to adapt to the aircraft and use safely, properly, and efficiently.
